This series of 24 projects will allow an amateur, using the simplest tools and materials, to take a project from a block or two-inch wood to a hand-carved animal caricature. Just pick up a piece of redwood, white pine, sugar pine, western pine, basswood, cottonwood, or any other soft wood, and a simple carver's knife or pocket knife!
Each step is very clear through the use of pictures and sketches. Each of the 24 projects has a profile pattern that you can trace on the wood.
